When
UX@UA is going in person again! Join us IRL at the University of Arizona Main Library’s CATalyst Studios chat with fellow UX learners and practitioners, celebrate Tucson’s winter, and brainstorm ideas about how to create a strong portfolio.
To help us brainstorm, we ask that you bring examples of portfolios UX professionals have created, including researchers, designers, or content strategists. Here’s some examples of what you could bring:
At the meetup, you’ll take a few minutes to share what you like about the portfolio you’ve brought and why it inspires you. The goal is to showcase examples of effective professional storytelling that we can use to create our own portfolios or job materials. Any portfolio you like is fair game to bring! You don’t need to know the person or their work personally.
This is a casual event and we welcome people from all professional backgrounds to join. No previous experience in UX needed!
Event logistics
We’ll set up a presenting laptop in the meetup space, so you only need to come with a link to the portfolio you’d like to share. Remember, this is not a formal presentation, and the goal is to have fun and learn more about how to showcase your work.
We’ll have snacks and hot drinks and open indoor and outdoor spaces. Wear your favorite holiday attire to the meetup! Masks are recommended.
