As the UX4Justice Director and Professor of Practice, Sarah Mauet works with students to apply design thinking, systems thinking, and UX methodologies to real justice sector technologies to discover, design, and deliver disruptive solutions to the justice gap. Sarah has a Master of Science in Graphic Information Technology from Arizona State University where she focused on UX at startups, and a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from Northwestern University. She has also received a UX Certificate from the Nielsen Norman Group, and has completed design thinking training with IDEO and Stanford University's Hasso Plattner Institute of Design, known as the d.school. Sarah joined UX@UA in January 2019 to help ideate and launch new UX initiatives at the University of Arizona. When she finally puts down the Post-it Notes, Sarah enjoys hiking and reading good fiction (recommendations welcome!).
